Medical News Today: What is pharyngitis?
Pharyngitis, or a sore throat, is an inflammation of the pharynx that can cause discomfort and difficulty swallowing. It most commonly results from viral infections, such as common colds and the flu, but bacterial infections can also cause pharyngitis. Learn more here.
